Hi all,
well i moved as u may know, but all did not go smoothly, well it took such a long time to get on the internet and then when we got the internet my computers all decided to die at the same time :) so then spent weeks trying to fix it,
anyway slowly back up and running now

Nemesis, update

Well Im about to move house, while in the middle of packing i did manage to paint Nemesis up a bit, but as Im about to start the actual house move Im not going to get it finshed, and once I have set up in my new home, im gonna have to start some real work and maybe not get the chance to finish it as I would have liked..still it was a lot of fun :)

Still in the middle of a move, well not really moving just yet,,,more hanging around with some boxes,
anyway,,,here a sketch between projects which I may paint up if Im still not moving anywhere :)
quick edit,,,thought I would post some progress shots while Im at it,
not really spent much time on it today but I managed to put down some flat colours and bit of texture,, at this point I will start painting it up . Add the dark areas, mid tones and highlights last, not touched nemesis yet apart from a quick wash.. oh and needs more texture

Judge Dredd

In a gap between packing and moving thought I would have a go at doing a quick Dredd for fun, end up taken the sketch too far, so I thought I had better leave it as is..

I should really be packing and looking for a house, but thought I had better make some sort of start on X, which set in the [Forty-Five]45 universe, Im working with Andi Ewington, Eddie Dieghton and Rob Patey of Com-X on this one. Great Story so all is good :)
BlueSpear which is also set in the 45 universe looks bloody sweet, and a very hard act to follow, anyway still working on the look but here is a character sketch..more to come

Judge Dredd

Been a huge 2000ad and Judge Dredd fan for a very long time, 2000ad was the reason I wanted to be a artist and thankfully I have had to luck to follow that path.
I have done quite a few pages now for 2000ad with my work on Deadeyes and necrophim but tommorow is my first Judge Dredd.....Judge Dredd....my seven year old self would be wetting himself right now...
so, keep a eye out in Asda/ whsmiths and your local comic shop for 2000ad prog 1737, Judge Dredd "Scream" written by Gordon Rennie with art by me and lettering by Annie Parkhouse, out on the 8th of june and running into a few parts too :)
right, just pulled a 28 hour shift,,,,going to bed now,,,

My boys art blog

My apprentice in training is coming on really well, another few years and he will be helping me out :) He even has 2 portfolios already filled to the brim and has just started his blog...
Everyday he comes back from school with some drawing he has secretly done while the teacher wasnt watching. I think his drawings are great and everyday I look forward to seeing what he comes up with.

Really need to improve my art work and try out some other techniques. Mainly due to speed and clarity of my work, as Im finding Im putting in too much detail, texture and over working images.
I may look at some of my older pages before I painted them up and take the pencils to inks instead, see what happens :)

Bizarre Creations , farewell

Bit late to the wake, but thanks to all the people who where at Bizarre Creations throughout its years it was great wasnt it, unfortuatly the studio closed down in Febuary.
Its really starting to hit me now how great working at Bizarre Creations was, after a month of not been at the studio Im starting to feel the pangs of a old routine,,,well I did spend 13 years there so its a strange shift for me. But Im up for a new challenge and hopefully more doors will open as the old ones close.
